Hehehe... yes - 'in colour' is relative in relation to the next post with black lines on white paper ;) But, yes: I think I'll dig out oil pastels to start some colour studies - I really liked your oil sketch, it's a different kind of simplification.
I love the middle picture from the very low eye level. My arty cousin and I went to the beach a few years ago, and we were photographong shapes she made in the sand. At one point she lay down and I dragged her by the arms across the sand, so see what marks she'd leave. It was at this point that the life guard came running over to check if she was conscious & still breathing. No art was made from it, but we got a great story to tell.
hahaha, steph, good story indeed :) the perspective magnifies the tiny leave and shell, i did a couple of similar shots on eigg; but in both cases my camera almost didn't survive: tide was coming in, so there was a bit of water rushing towards it. the contrast to the other two ones is quite cool: it makes the sea look wild where in fact the waves are such tiny ones :)
